What is Medicare?

Medicare is a very popular and essential social insurance program that is brought forward by the government of USA. It includes providing complete Health Care package with insurance coverage to people over the age of 65 years. Medicare also shares a major contribution by funding the residency training programs for a majority of physicians within United States.

​Considering the success of this program worldwide, various other programs were introduced benefiting people and also a handful working for child welfare. Considering the eligibility of the people liable for the Medicare facility, in general people over 65 years of age or older those who are the legal residents of USA for the tenure of at least 5 years are eligible to get Medicare.
Medicare is health insurance for the following:
  • People 65 or older
  • People under 65 with certain disabilities
  • People of any age with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant)
  • The Different Parts of MedicareThe different parts of Medicare help cover specific services:

Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance)
  • Helps cover inpatient care in hospitals
  • Helps cover skilled nursing facility, hospice, and home health care

Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance)
  • Helps cover doctors' services, hospital outpatient care, and home health care
  • Helps cover some preventive services to help maintain your health and to keep certain illnesses from getting worse

Medicare Part D (Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage)
  • A prescription drug option run by Medicare-approved private insurance companies
  • Helps cover the cost of prescription drugs
  • May help lower your prescription drug costs and help protect against higher costs in the future

Medicare Advantage Plans (like an HMO or PPO) are health plans run by Medicare‑approved private insurance companies. Medicare Advantage Plans (also called "Part C") include Part A, Part B, and usually other coverage like Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D), sometimes for an extra cost.

Also people with any physical disability and under the age of 65 are eligible for this plan if they have already received a Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). There are two parts of Medicare, Part A and Part B. The benefits for Part A are associated to hospital Insurance, whereas, Part B handles the medical insurance. In part A, various categories are covered including hospital claims like semi private rooms, doctor fees, food, tests etc. However, for complete hospital insurance facilities, the patient should be hospitalized for at least three days and mid-nights without counting the day of discharge.

Medicare Part B, medical insurance the medication associated claims is carried out. This part include coverage of physician and nursing services like X-rays, laboratory and diagnosis tests, vaccinations of pneumonia and influenza, renal dialysis, blood transfusion and many more. Medicare is a very beneficial social attempt that keeps you insured for the better.

Medicare A, refers to the insurance that is regarding hospital. Medicare B might be associated with the services that the Doctor offers and others that extends beyond the previous one. Medicare D is concerned with Prescription drugs and
their use.

Eligibility
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in any organization which has been enrolled in the mediocre Scheme for a
    US citizen or a permanent resident. It does not matter if it is a part of the Social Security taxes or is
    ​mentioned separately.
  • These benefits will also be covering your husband/ wife which mean that a single policy can cover both the partners.
  • Unless and until there is a permanent disability that is bothering you or a kidney failure that you are troubled with, it is
    a must that you must be above the age of 65 years.
